Boogie Plays the Nyckelharpa

Hello!
It's been a long time since I last made a blog entry, but I am alive and well and still here! I've been busy practising the nyckelharpa, well trying to anyway! It's a little bit big for me really, but I've been hoping that I'm going to grow a little bit so that I can play it a bit better! They nyckelharpa is a really old instrument, the oldest statue is from 1350, which is really old. The oldest real instrument is from 1526 from a town in Sweden called Mora. I'd love to have a go on that instrument, it's a bit smaller, so I'd be able to get my paws round that!
I hope to update my blog more often, my family are going to be travelling a bit more playing and they've said that I can come along and be a roady, carry all the heavy instruments and set things up for them. I'm really looking forward to it, I hope I do a good job!
More soon.

Boogie goes up Carrock Fell

Carrock Fell, England : Distance Travelled = 87,525 miles

Hello!
My first adventure as a roady was to go up to the Lake District and climb lots of mountains. I think this is because my family thought I wasn't tall and strong enough, so we had to go and make me fitter. It certainly worked! This picture is of me at the top of Carrock Fell in the Lake District, from here we walked over to High Peak. We started out nice and early and got to see the sunrise. My pole was a bit long for me, but my mini-size chocolate bar was perfect! More adventures soon!

Boogie in Hereford

Posted 20th October 2011 - travel companions - Vicki & Jonny
Hereford, England : Distance Travelled = 87,708 miles

Hello!
I've travelled down from the north with my family to the lovely city of Hereford. We're staying at a little hotel, on a budget, with only a bed in the room, no sofa or chairs or anything, that's probably good though, gave us space to put the instruments! The bed was very comfortable though and I slept very well. I kept seeing pictures of a friendly looking bear everywhere, so I decided I had to go looking for him. He didn't say very much, spent a lot of time on his computer, so I got my computer out to write this blog! More soon!

Boogie in Hereford Part 2

Posted 30th October 2011 - travel companions - Vicki & Jonny
Hereford, England : Distance Travelled = 87,709 miles

Hello!
Having slept really well in the hotel room we got up and went out for breakfast in the local supermarket. I think it was the worst breakfast ever! Oh well, it stopped me being hungry later. Then we went for a walk around the city, saw the cathedral and the Wye bridge. Very nice. Time to move on though!
