Boogie in La Tania

Posted 4th April 2009 - travel companions - Vicki & Jonny
La Tania, France : Distance Travelled = 31,605 miles

Hello!
I've spent the last 24 hours on the road, travelled from England to Switzerland and then into France. I felt a little ill on the coach with all the windy roads up into the mountains of the ski area called The Three Valleys. I wonder if I'll be able to do some yodelling? If there are three valleys then maybe I'll be able to hear three echoes? This picture is from our hotel window looking back into the valley. The snow is a bit melty down here, but hopefully the slopes will be just fine. I'll let you know very soon.

Boogie goes Skiing

Hello!
Today we went skiing! it was loads of fun. We all fell over quite a bit.
It's really warm up here at the moment because it is the end of the season so it is really funny to be skiing on freezing snow one minute, and then sunbathing in a T-shirt the next. Here's pictures of me during the day as we travelled around Courcheval.
We went in lifts and cable cars and drag lifts and chairs - and in between we ate chips and Twix and we drank Orangina ... and in between all that, we went skiing and fell over.
It's a good thing Bears don't bruise easily. The only downside of falling over is you get a bit wet.
So - I'm off to dry my fur again.

Boogie on the Bass

Braintree, England : Distance Travelled = 32,132 miles

Hello!
I'm back home again from France. I had a great time. I managed to avoid getting a panda face, unlike the rest of my family! It would have been odd for me as a normal brown bear to have looked like a panda, funny though. Maybe next year! Having been to France I thought it was about time I played the big old French bass that is in the corner of the room. It was waaay too big for me, I think I'm better off playing the little ukelele, but it was great fun! The bass is really versatile, you find them in all sorts of music, jazz, folk, classical in fact, it could be in anything! I found a really cool clip with some amazing double bass playing in it. Maybe if I eat all my green vegetables I'll grow enough to play the bass properly! I'm on my travels again next week, so another adventure soon!

Boogie in Faro

Posted 24th April 2009 - travel companions - Jonny
Faro, Portugal : Distance Travelled = 33,240 miles

Hello
I seem to have spent most of my time in really cold places just recently so it was fantastic to find that I've come to Faro in the south of Portugal. It's nearly 30 degrees centigrade and bright blue sunshine and the coast is beautiful and everything is fantastic - and even the trains are really cool. Fortunately Ben was holding me - so I didn't get run over.
I tried to climb a Palm tree - but it was more difficult than I thought. but it was ok - I didn't fall off. That makes a change doesn't it?
I don't know where I am going next yet - but I hope it is warm like this again. I might have to take my scarf off!
Lots of cuddles
