Kebnekaise, Sweden : Distance Travelled = 134,133 miles
Evening!
I do love a good mountain climb and I thought it was time to attempt to summit Kebnekaise again. This is the second time that I've tried to get to the top of this wonderful mountain, but the last time we had to turn back due to bad weather, lots and lots of fog. I also felt that having climbed Kilimanjaro I was in good shape, so on my return from Africa - up I went! This time the weather held off and we had an amazing view from the top. I'm not sure if it's true or not that you can see the same amount of land as The Netherlands or not, but wow! I also met up with a good friend, yes, Treacle was at the top enjoying the view too. Small world really! We didn't spend long at the top, especially as the crampons didn't really fit my feet and it was a little bit slippery. It was a great day and I'm so pleased that I've finally managed to get to the top! I need to find another mountain to climb now! More soon.

Sälka, Sweden : Distance Travelled = 134,144 miles
Morning!
Well, an update from the arctic circle. Having ascended the tallest mountain in Sweden my group continued West from the Kebnekaise Fjällstation along the path to Singi. After a night in Singi I carried on north with the more hardy travellers, the less hardy headed back to Nikkaluokta. My legs were strong, even if not very long. We reached Sälka and I was a bit tired, but totally determined! Ok, it helped that I had a very good seat to travel on... I've managed to hook into that little know bear communications network. I could tell that it had been activated by Treacle earlier, so it was a good connection. It was very funny watching the other hikers trying to get connection with their mobile phones, human phones don't work out here. I loved it as we left the Kebnekaise area - there was a possy of about 8 humans trying to get connection on their phones. I laughed, but of course couldn't tell them about the secret bear connection! More soon!

Abisko, Sweden : Distance Travelled = 134,172 miles
Evening all,
After a long hike we finally reached the our goal, the top of the Kungsleden at Abisko. The Kungsleden is a trail that is over 400km long up in the north of Sweden. We just walked a stretch of it, definitely not the whole thing. Funnily enough we walked the same stretch that the Fjällräven Classic takes. That's Nikkalokta to Singi and then north on the Kungsleden to Abikso. Putting Kebnekaise in the middle means that we walked about 125 kilometers! It was great to reach the end and go and clean up at the youth hostel before we got back on the train and headed home again. I caught up with my good friend Treacle too who had completed the same journey. It's been a fantastic adventure and I've had lots of fun. Now time to go home and have a rest!
lots of love
