Zanzibar, Tanzania : Distance Travelled = 128,216 miles
Evening,
We've travelled to Zanzibar. It was time for a visit to a beach to relax after going up Kilimanjaro. Zanzibar is an archipelago, just like where I'm from in Stockholm. It was a bit warmer though! Although it is a semi-autonomous part of Tanzania I can't really count it as a new country, which is a shame, but still a great place to visit! Some really old tools were found here, dating back 20,000 years! Zanzibar has been controlled by the Portuguese Empire, the British Empire and finally became part of Tanzania in the 1960s. We went on a wonderful spice tour where we learnt about all the spices that grown on Zanzibar, including nutmeg. We also saw the slave market cave where the slave traders continued to trade in slaves by keeping them in a cave! We're not staying long though, moving on! More soon!

Nairobi, Kenya : Distance Travelled = 128,584 miles
Evening,
We've headed back to the mainland again, continued to a new country and to the Elephant orphanage. I'm in Nairobi in Kenya and these elephants are rather scary, I'm a very small traveller and have to make sure that I'm careful amongst these great beasts! They were very cute though. They are all let out into the wild once they get old enough and so we weren't allowed to touch or pet them. Next stop before the big wild wild world is a s wildlife sanctuary though, so they get a second stage before they're on their own. More soon.

Hells Gate, Kenya : Distance Travelled = 128,631 miles
Evening!
I'm still in Kenya and we've travel to a place called Hells Gate. This place got its name from the narrow break in the cliffs in the middle of the Rift Valley Province. I'm glad I did come here because I met my good friend Treacle. We sat on a high rock together and of course you can imagine what happened he tripped and fell. I did try to save him, but he fell all the way to the bottom.... I'm sure he'll be fine.

Masai Mara, Kenya : Distance Travelled = 128,721 miles
Morning,
We have ventured on and come to the Masai Mara Game Reserve and gone on a safari trip. Lots and lots of animals: Wildebeests, giraffes, elephants and lions! A wonderful day. Elephants in Africa are different to the ones found in Asia, they are bigger and not tamable. You can see the jeeps that we travelled around in too. It was a brilliant day!

Lake Bunyoni, Uganda : Distance Travelled = 129,088 miles
Morning,
We moved on to Uganda and to the beautiful Lake Bunyoni. We saw a statue of a gorilla, which wasn't as good as really seeing the real thing but we didn't have time, so it was a good substitute. Lake Bunyoni is in south west Uganda and is one of the lakes that you can swim in without getting sick. The name means - 'place of many birds' and is nearly 2 kilometers about sea level. It's very large and very deep, it might be the second deepest lake in Africa, but they're not sure exactly how deep it is! More soon.

Kigali, Rwanda : Distance Travelled = 129,137 miles
Morning,
We've reached our next destination, Rwanda. We visited the capital, Kigali and went on a trip out of the city to a nearby town and came across a huge outdoor Sunday service. We also spotted a memorial and a mass grave for the 1994 mass genocide where over 800,000 people were killed. We moved on by taking the bus from Kigali to Kampala in Uganda. A 10 hour trip - very tiring and I know I'm very small but even I started to get very cramped! More soon.

Kampala, Uganda : Distance Travelled = 129,372 miles
Morning,
After our long bus journey we stopped in Kampala and visited a local tourist market. I decided to buy a drum, I thought maybe my friend Boogie Bear might like to play it next time he visits! The traffic in Kampala was unbelievable! The city is built on several hills. On one hill is the Grand Mosque and on the other is the Roman Catholic Cathedral. You can see the mosque in the background. We're nearly the end of the grand African adventure now. It's been brilliant though!

Entebbe, Uganda : Distance Travelled = 129,393 miles
Morning,
The last update from Africa. It's been an awesome adventure and I've loved Africa. So I had a final meet up with my friend Treacle for coffee. I was glad that he didn't get into too much more trouble in this trip! We met up by the shores of Lake Victoria, which is the worlds largest tropical lake and the worlds second largest freshwater lake! It was very beautiful, but unfortunately you can't swim in it because it's got a parasite that would make you very sick. Ah well, time to go home and start a brand new adventure...
